Alex,
I truly enjoyed your presentation at the Grayslake Library last night! I am the proud owner of three fur babies – a 14-year-old lab mix, 6-year-old shepherd mix, and a 2-year-old Beagle/terriorist mix.
As soon as I walked in the door at home last night, I put your techniques and recommendations to work! I am already pleased with the outcome!
My guys have a mix of behavioral issues – dog aggression is my biggest issue to master. I am convinced that with family participation and dedication we can live a happier life with our best friends.
Thanks again!
Sandy H.
Hi Sandy
Im really glad you enjoyed the presntation last night and that you already put some of the techniques to use with some positive results. How cool is that!!! Good luck and keep in touch on how your dogs are doing. Again thank you for taking some time out of your day and coming to see me.
Alex
Alex,
What a great presentation last night at the Grayslake Library. Thank you so much. I am trying some of the things you mentioned and can see good results already.
I do have a problem, though. Since I used to be gone for 11+ hours during the day, and my dog had the run of the house, I trained him on pads in the utility room. I take him for a walk before I leave for work, and as soon as I get home. 8 out of 10 times, when I’m gone during the day, he will go on the pads. He does, however, leave something on the rug the other times…or during the night, which I find the next morning.
What is he thinking…he gets praised when he does on the pads and seems to know the difference, but then other times he does as he pleases. I put his nose in it and sharply say no, but he goes back to the same patterns. (I learned last night that doing this hours later does no good.) I’m at my wits end…he’s ruining the carpet and it smells!
Is there anything I can do?
Thank you so much.

I missed you Grayslake seminar just recently, but I will be watching for the next one in this area. I will be adopting a 1 1/2 year old dog within a few months. The dog had a piddle problem. When approched by someone, she piddles on the floor. Is this something that she will outgrow?
